Ways To Increase Production At The Quartzite Quarry In Uganda
In Kampala, Uganda, there is a quarry that focuses on quartzite mining. The hardness of quartzite ore reaches 7, which has high requirements for the performance and wear-resistant parts of the crusher. Previously, the quarry used Mn13Cr2 jaw plates, and faced bottlenecks in improving production efficiency.
On an opportunity, the quarry consulted on the material of the jaw plate, and Pengjie Wear Resistant Materials Company recommended Mn18Cr2MoV jaw plates to it. The customer bought a set for experimentation with a trial mentality, and the result was surprising. The crushing efficiency increased by 15% instantly.
In August 2023, the tangible results made the quarry decisively decide to upgrade comprehensively. They replaced the jaw plates of all crushers with Mn18Cr2MoV jaw plates provided by Pengjie Wear Resistant Materials. This decision brought unexpected results: in just three months, the output of the first-stage crusher soared to 3.1 million tons; the output of the second-stage crusher reached 1.4 million tons in one and a half months; the monthly output of the third-stage crusher remained stable at 1 million tons; and the output of the fourth-stage crusher reached 750,000 tons in just 30 days.
Not only that, after replacing the Mn18Cr2MoV mobile jaw plate, the output of the main crusher increased significantly, and the output increased by 130,000 tons compared with the previous brand. After installing the Mn18Cr2MoV fixed jaw plate, the output of crushed materials increased by an additional 350,000 tons.
The excellent durability and wear resistance of the Mn18Cr2MoV material play a significant role in improving the efficiency and output of the crusher. With this successful upgrade, the wear-resistant parts of the quarry's jaw crushers, cone crushers, impact crushers and other equipment are currently supplied by Pengjie wear-resistant materials, which continue to escort its high-yield and efficient operations.
