Why Kazakhstan's quarries are experiencing a decline in production
During the period when Pengjie Wear Resistant Team participated in the Kazakhstan Mining Exhibition, a quarry customer consulted on the procurement of wear-resistant parts. The customer reported that the quarry's output has declined since the wear-resistant parts from other suppliers were replaced. After in-depth investigation and analysis, the reasons for the decline in output mainly involve the following aspects:
First, there are defects in the design of equipment components. The original jaw plate that the customer's quarry needed to replace was not properly designed. Both the fixed jaw plate and the movable jaw plate were set with 11 teeth, resulting in a large gap between the two, reducing the power transmission efficiency and causing energy waste.
Second, the material selection does not match the actual working conditions. The quarry mainly processes granite with higher hardness, and the Mn13Cr2 jaw plate purchased by the customer before was found to have alloy element content that did not meet the standard requirements after quality inspection. This directly led to increased wear of the jaw plate, which not only increased the frequency of equipment maintenance and replacement, but also affected product quality due to poor crushing effect, thereby damaging the company's market reputation.
Third, improper supplier selection. For cost control considerations, the customer chose to purchase jaw plates from small informal manufacturers. Behind the low price is the serious failure of the quality of the jaw plate. Due to insufficient addition of alloy elements, the wear resistance and durability of the jaw plate are greatly reduced, and frequent failures lead to production interruptions, which ultimately greatly increases the overall operating costs. This fully demonstrates that simply pursuing low-price purchases of wear-resistant parts often outweighs the gains due to subsequent high maintenance costs and production losses.
In response to the above problems, the Pengjie Wear-Resistant Technology Team re-optimized the jaw plate design drawings based on the actual working conditions of the quarry and recommended suitable high-performance materials. After the customer tried the sample, the equipment capacity was significantly improved and the service life of the jaw plate was greatly extended. Based on the good user experience, the customer delivered all the wear-resistant parts orders for the production line to Pengjie Wear-Resistant.
